Integrating Medical Information Software Using Health Level Seven and FHIR: A Case Study

This article describes the architecture of a framework for integrating medical information using Health Level Seven and FHIR. An iterative programming methodology was followed along with incremental approach. The following steps have been done in order: exchange format type is established, terminologies, code systems value sets, to be used are mappings that will set RESTful API over HTTP, gather all FHIR resources required, URLs search, operations, establish asynchronous usage, Design communications rest systems, coding testing profiling. In conclusion, designed developed enable interoperability different this through use international standards HL7 FHIR, taking into account certain lessons learned from previous works related area.
